13417649_1082596955119326_7562140564987846745_nThen you will want to learn from Ali ClairMiss Maine USA 2013, and Katherine Ambrose, Occupational Therapist for Portland Public Schools, directors of the Miss Sensational Pageant.

The Miss Sensational Pageant is a program of Crossroads Youth Center, a 501c3 non profit youth organization that fosters awareness, social education and teaching tolerance for a safe environment. It provides a platform to spread awareness on the most crucial issue facing children, youth and teens in today’s society, using research based information and the developmental assets. Goals for the program are to include positive social behaviors such as being Fair, Kindness, Understanding, Acceptance, Caring, Honesty, Courage, Responsibility, Respect, and Compassion.

And I was especially thrilled to learn that this pageant also serves to address bullying.  Truly special and powerful.

Today was the inaugural Miss Sensational Pageant and it was incredible. I know because my family was blessed to support this wonderful program and then witness lives change.

  • Lives of the participants.
  • Lives of the families and friends.
  • Lives of the supporters.

Yes, a community was changed.

I highly recommend you like and follow this amazing program via its FaceBook page …

… and be inspired by both Ali and Katherine (two powerful, smart, and caring young women) to take action, as they are doing, to lead and to serve and bring more love and compassion into this world.

Thank you Katherine and Ali for your inspiration. You two are wonderful examples of the power of today’s youth to do good for others.
